Oceania Cruises Opens Bookings for 2028 and 2029 Voyages

By CruiseBooking.com Editorial Team

Oceania Cruises has opened bookings for its new 2028 and 2029 cruise program, introducing more than 230 itineraries across destinations worldwide. The new collection features voyages from seven days to 180 days, giving travelers more options to explore popular regions and lesser-visited ports.

The program includes more than 60 overnight port stays, allowing guests to spend more time in key destinations such as Copenhagen, Lisbon, Bangkok, and Bali. The cruise line will also visit smaller ports, including Seville and Malé, creating opportunities for deeper destination experiences.

According to Oceania Cruises, the 2028 and 2029 collection includes its most diverse Mediterranean program to date, with more than 80 itineraries across the region.

Oceania Cruises Expands Destination-Focused Voyages

The new program focuses on immersive travel, with longer stays and carefully planned routes designed for travelers who want more time at each destination.

Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises, said the expanded collection reflects the cruise line’s focus on meaningful travel experiences. He highlighted that the additional overnight stays allow guests and travel advisors more flexibility when planning longer journeys.

The upcoming seasons will cover major regions including Europe, Asia, Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and New England.

Europe Cruise Season Features Mediterranean and Northern Europe

Europe remains a major part of the 2028 and 2029 program, with sailings covering the Mediterranean, Baltic region, and Northern Europe.

Travelers can choose from Greek island voyages, Aegean Sea routes, Italian coastal journeys, and Spanish ports. Northern Europe itineraries will include destinations such as Norway’s fjords, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam.

The Oceania Aurelia will introduce its first Baltic and Scandinavia sailings as part of the expanded European schedule.

Oceania Riviera Returns to Alaska and Asia

The Oceania Riviera will return to Alaska during summer 2028 before moving into Asia-focused itineraries.

The Asia season will place greater focus on Japan, with routes featuring smaller coastal ports that international travelers visit less frequently. Highlights include stops in Kagoshima, Ishigaki, and Miyazaki.

The ship will combine cultural experiences, regional cuisine, and coastal exploration throughout its Asian voyages.

Oceania Aurelia to Launch 180-Day Around-the-World Voyages

One of the biggest highlights of the new program is the debut of Oceania Aurelia’s 180-Day Around the World voyages.

The 2028 world cruise will depart from Miami, while the 2029 edition will begin in Los Angeles and finish in New York.

The ship, previously known as Oceania Nautica, will undergo transformation through the OceaniaNEXT program and will debut under the new Aurelia name in late 2027.

Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Mexico Cruises

The Caribbean and Central America program will include voyages aboard Oceania Sonata and Oceania Vista.

These itineraries will range from seven-day island escapes to longer journeys through Mexico, Central America, and the Panama Canal.

Guests can experience tropical destinations while combining relaxing island visits with cultural ports.

Asia Cruises Include Japan, Southeast Asia, and Indonesia

Oceania Marina and Oceania Riviera will operate Asia seasons featuring a mix of major cities and smaller ports.

The program includes overnight stays in Bangkok and Singapore, giving travelers extra time to explore these destinations.

The itineraries will also include routes through the Indonesian archipelago, with stops such as Komodo Island.

South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand Voyages

The Oceania Marina will explore Australia and New Zealand with multiple 14-day voyages.

These cruises will feature destinations including Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, and Auckland. Travelers will also sail through the scenic fjords of Milford Sound, one of New Zealand’s most famous natural attractions.

The program provides options for guests looking to combine city visits with remote landscapes.

Canada and New England Sailings

The Canada and New England season will offer autumn-focused itineraries aboard Oceania Vista.

The 11-day Autumnal Allure & Maritimes voyage will visit Portland, Saint John, Halifax, and Quebec City.

Another option, the Maritimes Harvest Passage, will include stops at Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island.

Transoceanic Cruises Add Long-Distance Options

The 2028 and 2029 schedules will include seven repositioning cruises for travelers interested in longer ocean crossings.

A featured itinerary is the 15-day Canary Isles Autumn Passage aboard Oceania Sonata. The sailing will travel from Lisbon to Miami with stops in Madeira, Tenerife, and San Juan.

With more than 230 voyages, extended itineraries, and expanded overnight stays, Oceania Cruises’ new 2028 and 2029 program offers travelers a wider choice of global cruise experiences.
