MSC Cruises has announced an enhanced MSC Aurea Spa experience designed to bring advanced wellness, beauty, and relaxation services onboard its ships. The upgraded spa program will roll out across the fleet throughout 2026, offering guests a wider range of personalized treatments focused on recovery, self-care, and overall well-being.
The new MSC Aurea Spa services combine modern wellness technology with traditional relaxation rituals. Guests can enjoy treatments ranging from medical wellness services and advanced skincare to AI-powered skin analysis and personalized beauty solutions.
New Medical Wellness and Beauty Treatments
One of the major additions to the MSC Aurea Spa experience includes medical wellness treatments available on select ships from Summer 2026, beginning in North America. Licensed professionals will provide services such as IV therapy, aesthetic injectables, dermal fillers, and permanent make-up treatments.
MSC Cruises said these additions reflect changing travel trends, with more travelers looking for wellness-focused holidays where they can return home feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Georg Schmickler, senior vice president of onboard revenues at MSC Cruises, said guests now expect more than a traditional vacation. He explained that the company aims to create a complete wellness destination at sea by combining relaxation, beauty, recovery, and self-care.
Advanced Skin Care and AI-Powered Treatments
The upgraded MSC Aurea Spa will also introduce advanced skin treatments using hydro-microdermabrasion technology and skincare products from Opatra London. Guests will receive customized skincare solutions based on their individual needs.
The new AI-powered skin analysis service will allow guests to receive personalized skin assessments, treatment suggestions, and product recommendations. This technology aims to make spa experiences more tailored and effective.
New Relaxation Experiences Onboard
The refreshed spa offering will include a Japanese Head Spa experience, inspired by traditional Japanese wellness practices. The treatment focuses on scalp care, relaxation, and hair wellness.
Guests can also enjoy a restorative tea service featuring wellness teas from Team Dr. Joseph before or after their treatments. The service adds another element of relaxation to the onboard spa journey.
More Wellness Services Added Across the Fleet
Additional enhancements include professional teeth whitening, barbering services, ear piercing, and exclusive welcome gifts with curated wellness products and amenities.
Claudio Saviano, head of Aurea Spa at MSC Cruises, said every part of the experience has been designed to help guests relax, recharge, and leave their cruise feeling renewed.
