In accordance with maritime tradition, the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), represented by Francesca Antonelli, presented the traditional Valencian clay “socarrat” to the captain of the ship, Alessandro Zanello. The typical “metope” commemorating the maiden call in Valencia was presented to Zanello in turn.
On September 20, Silver Nova passengers had the opportunity to explore Valencia and other destinations in the province on 21 buses that the company requested so its passengers could experience the city in time for World Paella Day.
Currently, the Silver Nova is sailing an 11-night Barcelona To Lisbon voyage that began on September 21 from Valencia to Cartagena. It is scheduled to call at Malaga, Spain, Gibraltar, UK and Casablanca, Morocco before reaching Lisbon, Portugal.
