The Holland America Line announces South America, Antarctica, and Amazon voyages

By Cruise Booking Team

A statement released by Holland America Line said it plans to explore South America, Antarctica, and the Amazon River in 2024-25.

A cruise departing from the Oosterdam between November 2024 and March 2025 will explore these remote destinations and visit the Inca ruins of Macchu Pichu, round Cape Horn and cruise the most remote continent on earth.

Among those travelers who continue to look for memorable experiences like the Amazon, Macchu Pichu and Antarctica, Holland America Line’s South America cruises continue to attract travelers. “South America offers not just cultural immersion, but also some of the world’s most spectacular scenery,” said Beth Bodensteiner, Holland America Line’s chief commercial officer.

The perfect size of our ships allows us to explore these remote ports and give our guests a truly unique perspective on the continent.”

From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Zaandam will embark on a 27-day roundtrip cruise through the Amazon, the world’s longest river, in February 2025.

Among the 12 ports visited by the Amazon 2025 program are St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Dominica, and the Tortola islands, along with French Guiana.

An itinerary covering the South America Passage between San Antonio (Santiago), Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, is included in the South America and Antarctica programme. There will be ports of call in Chile in Puerto Montt, Puerto Chacabuco and Punta Arenas; Argentina in Ushuaia; the Falkland Islands in Stanley; and Uruguay in Montevideo. There will be three departures scheduled for December 1, 2024, February 19 and March 5, 2025.

In addition to the 22-Day South America and Antarctica cruise, the 2024-25 cruise will also include calls in Uruguay, Argentina, the Falkland Islands, Chile, and the Falkland Islands. There will be departures on December 15, 2022 and Jan. 6 and 28, 2025.

The Guest Package consists of shore excursions, specialty dining, a Signature Beverage Package and Surf Wi-Fi, which are all included in the price of South America cruises from 2024-2025 with the Have It All premium package. For a limited time, this offer will be available to guests who book these cruises.
