RCCL Completes Winter Season in Australia

By Cruise Booking Team

The 2022-2023 program for Royal Caribbean International in Australia has recently been completed. Quantum of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas participated in the successful winter season.
In Brisbane, the Quantum debuted as the first ship to sail into Australia. Various destinations in Queensland, Tasmania, and the South Pacific were offered on the 2014-built cruise ship between November and April.

A New Zealand cruise and three- and four-night cruises to nowhere were included in the Quantum’s schedule.

During the 13-night itinerary in March, guests visited the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, and Picton.

During the latter portion of October, the Ovation of the Seas departed Sydney on a two- to 12-night cruise to Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific.

Among the ports of call available on the 4,100-guest vessel were Hobart, Adelaide, Wellington, Napier, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia, which marked Royal Caribbean’s return to the region.
Both ships are currently on repositioning cruises to North America as part of their repositioning activities. After departure from Brisbane on April 12, the Quantum will offer a 17-night transpacific cruise to Hawaii. An itinerary to Vancouver follows the sailing.

After its last sailing in Australia, ovation departed Sydney for Hawaii on April 15. A nine-night cruise begins in Honolulu and ends in Vancouver.

The 2023-24 Australian season will feature three ships for Royal Caribbean International, starting in October.

There will also be the Brilliance of the Seas sailing in this region in addition to the Quantum of the Seas and the Ovation of the Seas.

As a replacement for the Enchantment of the Seas, the Radiance-Class vessel will offer voyages of five to 18 nights from Sydney. Several ports of call in Australia, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, and New Zealand will be visited as part of the itinerary.
