When you are a party planner for family and friends, people like you deserve to be appreciated by everyone. And we have great news. Our next new ship turns out to be a sea party with something for absolutely everyone.
Carnival Jubilee departs from Galveston in 2023, but know you can book your seats now. Welcome in advance!
The ship's name, of course, is a tribute to the original MS Jubilee, which was so much fun for fans at the time. But for those of you still having fun today, here's a little sneak peek of what to expect when you and all your friends join a new party that will last for years to come.
Mardi Gras™ and Carnival Celebration™ have big surprises in store for the upcoming ships, so expect Carnival Jubilee to offer six fun 'zones'. Zones are themed areas that transform your vacation into a unique combination of experiences. Jump from zone to zone throughout the day and make the fun your own. And the ingredients you'll find - carnival classics like Cucina del Capitano®, Seuss at Sea™, and Playlist Productions™. New hotspots like BOLT™, RedFrog® Tiki Bar and Family Feud™ Live will also join the brand new fun spots on board. This will be announced once construction begins.
This kind of fun takes big vacation planning, but I'm sure your crew will be happy that you made it through Carnival Jubilee.
Carnival Jubilee is one of the newest ships in the fleet, joining service in 2023. Built in Germany at the Meyer Werft shipyard, this ship now sails under the flag of the Bahamas. It can hold up to 5,362 guests when full and has a crew of 1,735 team members keeping everything running smoothly. The ship has a gross weight of 183,521 and is packed with things to do, eat, and see on board. It creates a fun atmosphere wherever it goes and was built with today’s cruise experience in mind. From the design to the service, it’s built to keep guests happy.

Carnival Jubilee is packed with fun from top to bottom, and it feels like the ship itself is the destination. Something is happening around every corner, from the BOLT rollercoaster and ropes course to mini-golf, waterslides, and a splash area for the little ones. Families and groups have no shortage of things to do, and much of it doesn’t cost extra. Even specialty food spots and activities that come with a fee are fairly priced. It’s easy to see why Carnival is known for giving great value. If you’re sailing from Galveston and want a ship full of action, this one’s a strong choice.
Food on Carnival Jubilee is full of variety, with 22 places to eat plus room service. You’ll find long lines at popular spots like Big Chicken, Guy’s Burger Joint, and Pig & Anchor, but the food is worth the wait. We found ourselves going back for seconds (and thirds). The main dining rooms serve up classic favorites along with bolder options, like alligator, and dinners often include crowd-pleasers like steak and lobster. Casual spots fit the cruise's laid-back style, letting you grab what you want and eat anywhere. Most meals are included, and the rest won’t break the bank.
Every dollar of your gratuity goes directly to the team members you interact with, like your stateroom attendants, dining and kitchen staff, as well as others working behind the scenes to improve your cruise from start to finish. By adding this charge, it becomes easier to make sure the right crew members are recognized and rewarded for their efforts. We've put together some recommended guidelines to help you plan.
To help with your planning, here are the current daily gratuity rates:
Pre-Pay
You can choose to add gratuities when booking your cruise or at any time before the sailing date. If you booked directly through Carnival, you could add prepaid gratuities by logging into your account at Carnival.com. If you made your reservation through CruiseBooking.com, simply reach out to one of our agents, and they’ll help you add the prepaid gratuities to your booking. Once added, the gratuity charges will show up in the 'Miscellaneous Charge' section of your confirmation and your E-Documents.
Sail & Sign®
If guests choose not to pre-pay their gratuities, the recommended amount will automatically be added to their Sail & Sign account starting on the second-to-last day of the cruise. In case a guest is not satisfied with the service they received, they are encouraged to visit the Guest Services desk while still on board. This gives the team a chance to address any concerns in a timely and appropriate way. Guests may request to adjust the gratuities after they’ve been posted to their account, but only while they are still on the ship. Once the cruise is over, any gratuities charged to the Sail & Sign account are considered final and cannot be changed.
